Once players pass the age of Miniroos, they can enter the LVSL Junior Competition, which offers competition soccer for children and young people aged 9 to 16. (Younger players may play in a higher division, subject to capability and club endorsement).
The LVSL Junior Competition is designed to support children and young people to further develop their soccer capability, including key skills such as field structures, one and two-touch passing, controlling the ball, and striking.
LVSL Junior Competition games are held on Saturday mornings, at grounds across Latrobe Valley. Games commence from 9:30am through until 2:30pm.
LVSL Junior Competition games are at various venues across Latrobe Valley, and extended to Sale and Bairnsdale typically once a year. They follow a rotating format similar to the A-League or English Premier League - some weeks teams will play at home, other weeks 'away' at another club's venue.
The LVSL Junior Competition includes formal scoring processes, official referees, lines umpires from U13 onwards, and a league table (ladder).
Churchill United Soccer Club (CUSC) Juniors train one night a week, on Tuesdays at our home ground on Tramway Road, Churchill.
Where teams have heavy representation in the squad level (LVSL or GUSC), or has players involved in the GUFC Skills Aquisition Program (SAP), some teams may opt to do domestic Churchill (CUSC) training once a week.
LVSL Junior fees are largely set by Football Australia and Football Victoria.
The annual fee for a CUSC Junior player registration is $145.00. This includes both registration and insurance.
Ensuring sport is accessible to all is a key value of our club. We offer a range of payment options for parents, including payment plans from as low as $20 per week.
Churchill United Soccer Club provides playing strips (tops) for all players at all age levels. As such, parents/carers only need to purchase club shorts and club socks for players. These are available from the club.
